Summary of Newly Registered Companies in India on 31-08-2005
There were a total of 262 companies (Private and Public Limited Companies) registered in India on 31 August, 2005 as per the records of Ministry of Corporate Affairs.
Amongst all the RoCs in India, most of the companies were from RoC-Kolkata — 60 companies. If we compare the number of companies registered state-wise, West Bengal tops the list with 60 companies. As far as districts are concerned, Kolkata had the maximum number of companies registered — a total of 51 companies on 31 August, 2005.
