Summary of Newly Registered Companies in India on 24-03-2012
There were a total of 279 companies (Private and Public Limited Companies) registered in India on 24 March, 2012 as per the records of Ministry of Corporate Affairs.
Amongst all the RoCs in India, most of the companies were from RoC-Kolkata — 267 companies. If we compare the number of companies registered state-wise, West Bengal tops the list with 267 companies. As far as districts are concerned, Kolkata had the maximum number of companies registered — a total of 231 companies on 24 March, 2012.
