Summary of Newly Registered Companies in India on 05-01-2006
There were a total of 176 companies (Private and Public Limited Companies) registered in India on 5 January, 2006 as per the records of Ministry of Corporate Affairs.
Amongst all the RoCs in India, most of the companies were from RoC-Kolkata — 47 companies. If we compare the number of companies registered state-wise, West Bengal tops the list with 47 companies. As far as districts are concerned, Kolkata had the maximum number of companies registered — a total of 40 companies on 5 January, 2006.
